Darius Moreno is an artist based in New York City.
YJ: What’s your current hustle?
DM: I'm an artist.
YJ: Has what you’re doing now been a life-long interest?
DM: Yes. I come from a family with a background in art. My Dad was an artist, as a kid, I would look at his work and because of my interest in what he was doing, they enrolled me in art school. From there, I developed a craft and or vision of my own and I currently a student at Parsons in New York City.
YJ: Where do you find inspiration, when needing it?
DM: From all different outlets but mainly through the people I'm around. My sister and my friends are all big inspirations in reference to my work and day-to-day life. Parsons has also helped, I've been trained in staying focused and on the importance of my portfolio.
YJ: If you could tell your younger self one thing about life, what would it be?
DM: I would tell myself to, "STOP CARING!"
YJ: What are you still looking to achieve?
DM: That's a hard question, I have a lot of goals. I'd like to work with more musicians, I'd like to transition into apparel, and continue to network through my art.
YJ: What would you say to someone who may think that their talent is not an ideal career path?
DM: Believe in your talent! Don't stop.
YJ: What music do you listen to for motivation?
DM: The project I worked on for/with GOLDLINK.
