Styling male leads from Scandal, Queen Sugar and other addictive series Lauren Taylor has proven, she's one to look our for. Her work has been seen on both the TV screen and the red carpet. Unlike other stylist she's uncovered a market and has single handedly recreated the image of some of Hollywood's favorite men.
TA: Who do you listen to on your way to work?
LT: Common's latest album is still on repeat.
TA: What's on your "Recently Watched" Netflix list?
LT: Luke Cage. Cottonmouth's [Mahershala Ali] suits are topnotch.
TA: Describe your morning in one emoji...
LT: Prayer hands. I love to start the day with positive affirmation.
TA: When your first direct deposit hit, what did you buy?
LT: It might of been a bag! At that time Coach was in, so yeah...
TA: What is your current hustle?
LT: I'm a stylist for actors, models inside and outside of LA.
TA: What sparked your move from NY to LA?
LT: For me NY was always temporary. I moved to LA initially because of a advertising job offer and with that my personal business followed. My 9-5 has been flexible in allowing me to work with them and for myself.
TA: Wow that's great. So with that being said, what's been the hardest job you've had to wake up for?
LT: Honestly, they've all been hard. It's hard when you're working a 9-5 and not walking your true purpose. But it's more important to push through and handle your own when you can.
TA: That's the best way to be! So who has given you the most memorable career advice?
LT: To observe, read, and soak in as much information as I can. And even still -- to know there's no road map to success.
