noun || yəNG ˈhefā
Nick White is the Director of Operations at Black Market USA.
TA: What’s your current hustle?
NW: Currently I'm a Director of Operations/Content Director.
TA: Has what you’re doing now been a life-long interest?
NW: No. Music, specifically music production was my "life-long interest". I frequently produced music for a specific artist whose father is an American fashion designer, I gradually moved in that direction. I've always been into clothes and the opportunity fell into my lap, it was a very natural/organic progression from my life as a music producer.
TA: What’s been your biggest obstacle?
NW: Myself, I control my own path, I'm in the driver seat, so to speak. If any obstacle presents itself it's because I ultimately allowed it to.
TA: If you could tell your younger self one thing about life, what would it be?
NW: Keep my head down, be observant, be patient but most of all stay focused, don't let those outside things distract you.
TA: Where do you find inspiration, when needing it?
NW: Inspiration is huge for me. Often I refer to movies for inspiration, its almost like hitting a refresh button, at that point my mind is clear and open to explore different ideas once more.
TA: What do you that you find different about your creative process that others in your field might not do?
NW: I feel that I go into great detail when I do my research, when I find inspiration I really dive into it. Being open to different things, different walks of life and different cultures is vital.
TA: What are you still looking to achieve?
NW: I would like to continue to expand and explore in my role as Content Director, to take what I'm doing and broadcast it on a major platform, what that platform is? I can't say.
TA: What would you say to someone who may think that their talent is not an ideal career path?
NW: Focus and hone in on your talent, perfect it, and make a life from it. Don't worry too much about the nonsense.
TA: What do you see the future holding?
NW: A lot of opportunities for me to create more opportunities.
